Hazardous Materials Incident Data
 

HMIS incident data received at DOT by April-21-2008 is distributed in eight data files:
  
  ireport, ievent, iaction, shipper, material, package, pkglayer,  and pkgfail
  
  
These data files are in two formats, dBase IV or ASCII "tab delimited" text files.  
  The dBase IV files are in individual zip/exe files, due to size constraints.
  The ASCII text files are in one zip/exe file: 2007ascii

For distribution, these files have been compressed with file compression software into three corresponding .zip files.  The .zip files have also been converted into self-extracting files, which have an .exe extension.

Windows Users:
	Click on each .exe file to download it.  
	Save the files in a new or empty directory on your local hard drive.
	Double-click each file (in Windows Explorer or My Computer) to extract the .dbf files.


Macintosh Users:
	Click on each .zip file to download it.    
	Save the files in a new or empty directory on your local hard drive.
	Use any file compression utility that can read .zip files to access and extract the .dbf files.
